The web site that is located at http://www.decisionview.com (the "Web Site") is hosted by DecisionView, Inc. (“DecisionView", “us”, or “we”), a company headquartered in San Francisco, California. This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) discloses our practices for gathering, using, and sharing of information we collect when you visit the Web Site.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the use of your information that is collected by third parties that DecisionView does not own or control or that do not support DecisionView in providing the DecisionView Web Site, or the DecisionView products and services. We have created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy and the protection of your information.

Personal Information” is information that is personally identifiable like names, addresses, e-mail addresses, or phone numbers, as well as other non-public information that is associated with the foregoing.

 

Anonymous Information” means information that is not associated with or linked to your Personal Information; Anonymous Information does not permit the identification of individual persons.

Consent and Notification of Changes

By using the Web Site, you consent to the collection, use and sharing of your information (including Personal Information) by us in the manner described in this Privacy Policy and elsewhere on the Web Site.

Your Personal Information may be processed by us in the country where it was collected as well as other countries (including the United States) where laws regarding processing of Personal Information may be less stringent than the laws in your country.

The Privacy Policy is a living document and we reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on the Web Site so our users are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.

Personal Information we collect

We collect the following Personal Information that you submit to us voluntarily:

·         When you request information from us, we will collect your name, the name of your company, and your e-mail address. We also collect, on an optional basis, the department you work for, your job title, your mailing address, and your telephone number.

·         When you send us an e-mail to apply for a position at DecisionView, we collect your e-mail address and the content of your e-mail as well as the content of any documents you might attach to your e-mail.

·         When you contact us by sending us an e-mail or when you use any of our contact forms, we will collect any information that is contained in (and/or attached to) your e-mail, text message, or that you enter into such forms.

Log Files and Cookies

In order to improve our Web Site and to better understand the needs and interests of the visitors to the Web Site, we collect IP addresses and store a small text file called a “Cookie” on your computer to analyze usage trends, track the movements of visitors of the Web Site, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. DecisionView may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them). We may also track referral sites and search engines to understand sources of traffic to the Web Site. While you will still be able to use the Web Site if you disable Cookies in your web browser, certain parts of the Web Site may not function as effectively.

Personal Information from Other Sources

We may receive Personal Information about you from other sources like telephone or fax, or from third parties that provide services for us in connection with the Web Site and the DecisionView products and services. We may add this information to the information we have already collected from you via our Web Site.

Use of information we collect

DecisionView collects information from visitors of the Web Site for the purpose of providing further information, copies of white papers, case studies, etc, or conducting surveys. Participation in such collection of information is completely voluntary and the visitor therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. If you provide us with Personal Information about somebody else, such as a spouse or work colleague, we assume that you have their permission to do so; if this is not the case, please do not provide such information.

Survey information may be used to monitor or improve the use of the Web Site and the satisfaction of the visitors to the Web Site. Some of this information is collated with other sources of data to improve our understanding of visitors to the Web Site.

We may create Anonymous Information records from Personal Information by excluding information (such as your name) that makes the information personally identifiable to you. We may also create Anonymous Information on how you use the Web Site, or DecisionView products and services. We may use this Anonymous Information for internal purposes, such as analyzing usage patterns so that we may enhance our Web Site and DecisionView products and services, and we also reserve the right to use and disclose any Anonymous Information at our discretion.

Newsletters and Email Privacy

We may use your Personal Information to provide you with notifications related to your use of the DecisionView products and services, such as electronic newsletters or promotional e-mails, should you request to receive such communications from us. You can at any time request that no further notifications are sent to you by emailing us at webmaster@decisionview.com. Unsubscribe instructions will also accompany each newsletter or promotional communication you receive from us.

We will send you strictly service-related announcements (such as, but not limited to, notices of any updates to this Privacy Policy) when we believe it is necessary to do so. You may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature, but if you do not wish to receive these announcements, you have the option to request the deletion of your contact information from our database. When we delete information that we have collected from or about you, it will be deleted from our active databases but may remain in our archives.

Data Integrity and Security

DecisionView uses extensive security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and/or alteration of data and information located on our systems. We implement appropriate measures and processes, such as using encryption when transmitting certain sensitive information, to help us to keep your Personal Information secure and to maintain its quality. We regularly review our security and related policies to adapt the technology as new threats evolve, and monitor our systems to help ensure the highest level of availability.

Information submitted to us is only available to our employees who are responsible for managing this information for purposes of contacting you or sending you e-mails based on your request for information and to our service providers as described below. These employees and service providers have been trained to handle such data properly and in accordance with our security protocols and standards of confidentiality. Although we cannot guarantee against any loss, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, alteration or destruction of data, we take reasonable precautions in an attempt to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.

No data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be entirely secure. Disclosure of Personal Information

Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not use or share your Personal Information with third parties, unless you ask or authorize us to do so.

We may provide your Personal Information to third party service providers and suppliers who work on behalf of or with us to provide you with DecisionView products and services or information thereof and who help us communicate with our customers and visitors of the Web Site. However, these service providers and suppliers do not have any independent right to use this information except as to help us providing the aforementioned services.

Although we currently do not have a parent company, any subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under a common control (collectively, “Affiliates”), we may in the future. We may share some or all of your Personal Information with these Affiliates, in which case we will require our Affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy.

In the event DecisionView goes through a business transition such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your Personal Information will likely be among the assets transferred. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of DecisionView or its assets may continue to use your Personal Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. You hereby consent to DecisionView sharing your Personal Information under the above circumstances.

We may disclose information we have collected from and about you (including Personal Information) if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to (a) comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on us; (b) to enforce our Privacy Policy and other terms and conditions; or (c) to protect and defend the rights or property of us, the visitors of the Web Site, the users of the DecisionView products and services, or third parties.

This Web Site may contain links to other sites that are not operated by DecisionView. Please be aware that DecisionView is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such other sites. We encourage our users to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information.

Privacy of Minors

We do not intentionally collect or maintain information from those visitors of the Web Site who are under 13 years old.
